David relates to others in a very compassionate, straightforward, down-to-earth fashion, honed from his roots in New York City. He is a loyal team player, values his professional or personal relationships, and he takes an interest your future success.
"Your success First is his success," is his motto.
David is fortunate to have had broad based unique professional training and experiences in numerous disciplines while working in law firms, corporations, and government.
After graduating from St. Johns University School of Law in New York City, David started his legal career as a Law Clerk to the Honorable John Foreman, in Phoenix, Arizona. After, he served for more than 8 years as Deputy County Attorney (Criminal Prosecutor), then trial bureau chief, and appellate attorney. David received a Special Recognition Award for his work on cases prosecuting landlords of dilapidated city properties.
David then went on to the Arizona Attorney General's Office, where he served under the Honorable Janet Napolitano, former Secretary of the US Department of Homeland Security, and former Arizona Attorney General. He also served as a Judge Pro-Tem in the lower trial courts.
He has been an integral part of the business or sales side of top corporations, including Charles Schwab Inc., & New York Life Insurance Company.David is astute in securities investing, and online trading platforms. At Schwab, he carried Series 7 and 63 securities licenses, and was responsible for the inflow of millions of dollars in accounts.
In Los Angeles, David contracts with respected civil litigation law firms including O'Melveny & Myers, Robbins Kaplan, McKool Smith, Davis Wright Tremaine, Arnold & Porter, and Latham & Watkins to perform discovery work on class actions, and large litigation projects.
He is licensed to practice law in California, New York, and Arizona. In 2010, David was honored with admission to the Bar of the United States Supreme Court during a ceremony in our Nation's Capital.
While he is generally mild mannered, David can be tenacious in practice, and he is no stranger to the Appeals Courts. When the trial court denied his client a jury trial, he presented oral argument to the Court of Appeals. The Court of Appeals reversed the trial court. Read the entire Published Opinion. In his free time, David's passion is cycling. He rides in many charitable events throughout California and neighboring states as well as with bike clubs in Los Angeles and Orange County. You will see him regularly riding slow on the bike paths in Santa Monica and Huntington Beach, or fast across the Santiago Mountains of Orange County, through the Camp Pendleton Marine Base, around the circumference of Lake Tahoe, or around Central Park in NYC.
David studies cutting edge cycling infrastructure in European cities and hopes to bring some of those concepts to the United States.
